Tips for ACI Foundation Fellowship and Scholarship Applicants

Application season for the 2018-2019 school year will open summer of 2017. The deadline for all application materials will be announced at that time and occur in the autumn of 2017.

  1. Read all requirements and instructions completely before beginning applications.

  2. On the applications, make sure you fill out all required information. Missing information may result in your application being ineligible.

  3. ACI Foundation Fellowships can be awarded to anyone in the world; however, you must attend a U.S. or Canadian accredited university during the award year.

  4. ACI Foundation Graduate Scholarships can be awarded to anyone in the world, but the program must be ABET-accredited or a mutually recognized program by ABET during the award year.

  5. During the award year, you must be a full-time student both semesters.

  6. When submitting your application package, make sure the application, resume, and essay are sent to in one e-mail.

  7. All application materials must be received by the application deadline.

  8. In order to receive an application form for Fellowships, you must first be nominated by a faculty member who is also an ACI member.

  9. Both undergraduate and graduate students may apply for Fellowships.

  10. Those applicants chosen as a finalist for an ACI Foundation Fellowship must be available to attend an interview with the Scholarship Council during the ACI Spring Convention and Exposition. Travel expenses will be paid by the ACI Foundation.

  11. For both Fellowships and Scholarships, your essay must not be more than 500 words.

  12. To be eligible for an ACI Foundation Scholarship, you must be in your first or second year of graduate study during the award year.

  13. Those applicants chosen to receive an ACI Foundation Fellowship or Scholarship will be chosen during the ACI Spring Convention and Exposition. Awardees will be notified shortly thereafter.

  14. Get started early! Most application packages can take weeks to complete.
